Testimony Starts in Dauphin County Medical Malpractice Misdiagnosis Case

Last week, testimony started in a Dauphin County medical malpractice lawsuit. The defendants in the case are two doctors who allegedly misdiagnosed a 9 year old’s ankle injury which turned into an infection. As a result of infection the child, Sean Brame, lost both of his feet, his right hand and three fingers on his left hand. Sean is now a 10th grader.

His mother testified at trial about how the injury has significantly affected Sean’s life. The doctors deny any malpractice and maintain that they made proper diagnoses based on the information available at the time.
