Study Finds Most Physicians Will Be Sued During Their Careers

A recent Harvard University study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that most doctors will be sued at some point during their careers and that most doctors won’t have to pay any damages as a result of those lawsuits.

Specifically, the study found that only 22% of medical malpractice claims result in payments.  What does this mean for the patient who has been injured?  It may mean many things, but it generally means that if you have been truly hurt, or if you have lost a loved one, due to medical malpractice then you may need a Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawyer who is willing to fight for the recovery that you deserve.

Do not let the statistics discourage you.  If you have been injured by a doctor’s malpractice then you have the right to sue for damages and the right to pursue a just recovery.
