Is Your Doctor Abusing Drugs or Alcohol?

Last month, the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine announced disciplinary action against Philadelphia doctor Gregory J. Skitek.  Dr. Skitek was suspended indefinitely, for a period of at least three years, from the practice of medicine in Pennsylvania.    The Board of Medicine found that Dr. Skitek “is unable to practice the profession with reasonable skill and safety to patients by reason of illness, addiction to drugs or alcohol.”

Alcohol and drug addiction effects medical professionals just as it effects the rest of the community.  Drug or alcohol abuse can impede a doctor’s judgment and lead to negligent treatments of patients that result in harm.

If you have been hurt by Dr. Skitek or any other negligent Pennsylvania doctor then please contact a Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawyer to learn about your potential for a legal recovery.
