Hospital Infections Can be Prevented

Currently, more than 350 hospitals in 22 states are taking part in national pilot program designed to prevent infections associated with central line use.

A recent interim report of the study found that infection rates were reduced about 35% among hospitals participating in the study.

This news is encouraging as serious infections are often associated with central line use.  If infections can be prevented then lives can be spared.  Our Pennsylvania medical malpractice attorneys will continue to monitor this study, and other infection reducing initiatives.
