Are Patients at Risk of Contracting Contagious Diseases?

A recent survey published in the American Journal of Infection Control indicates that some healthcare practitioners are violating CDC guidelines and putting patients at risk of contracting contagious diseases such as Hepatitis and HIV.

Of particular concern are the healthcare practitioners who admit to always, or sometimes, reusing a syringe or single use vials for multiple patients.

The CDC has reported that over the past 10 years, more than 125,000 people have been potentially been exposed to dangerous diseases because of healthcare providers who failed to follow government required protocols.  At least 600 people have become infected.

If you, or a loved one, have been hurt by a healthcare provider’s failure to follow government guidelines then you may be entitled to damages.  Contact a Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawyer today for more information.
